PT Donation Attendant-Windermere Express Center

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Donation Xpress Manager, tends donation center in designated location. Major duties include but are not limited to receiving donations, giving receipts, and assisting with lifting items. Be able to adapt to rotating duties and responsibilities. Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull. Able to adhere to company policy and be proactive in engaging customers with a sense of urgency and customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Unlock Donation Center and place inside any items left outside from the previous evening after closing.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work station.
  • Sort donations by quality as they arrive into the proper bins or carts.
  • Maintain records such as daily reports, donor receipts or other records as needed.
  • Help load/unload trucks. Place truck orders on the computer.
  • Listen to customer concerns and escalate to management in a timely manner.
  • Follow Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) procedures and other Public Protection guidelines.
  • Notify management of associate theft, unauthorized mark-downs, property defacement or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy.
  • Perform work outside and inside; exposure to weather conditions, dust, dirt, electricity, noise, fumes and chemicals.
  • Display work habits of regular attendance, punctuality, teamwork, initiative, willingness to learn, dependability and promptness.
  • The individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment interacting with other employees and customers. A positive and outgoing personality is essential.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Hours

Applicants must be flexible to work various shifts during the hours of 7:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday-Sunday.

Experience and Education

You must be 16 years of age or older. A minimum of (1) year retail experience is preferred but not required. Prefer working experience with people who have disabilities and/or previous Goodwill experience. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. independently and 100 lbs. with assistance.
